Background story:
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to start a new clan but here goes. Akuma was born into a castout branch of the uchiha clan. Members of this branch rarelly ever gained sharingan, and if they did, then it was significantly weaker than the real thing. It only had the ability to heighten ones sences and reaction time, it didn't have any genjutsu abilities whatsoever. It was also different by appearence, the eye became dark blue, and instead of small"6" shaped symbols there where thin slits. Apart from their weak sharingan, they didn't have a natural talent in fire-jutsu. These things where all enough reason for the uchiha clan to banish this branch. They traveled for long and changed their clan name to Shichiyou. After a severall years they settled quietly in Kumogakure. By now the blue sharingan had dissapeared, and soon it was completelly forgotten.
That was the background story for Akumas clan, Akuma himself was practically a normal kid. He had always dreamed of becomeing a ninja, so one day he enrolled in the ninja academy. He was just another student he fooled around with the other kids. Years later he became a genin and is now waiting to be chosen into a team.
